Inside Delta
Asaba, Delta – The Federal Government is showing its commitment to improving safety on the nation’s roads as the Joint National Transport Safety Committee of Nigeria inaugurates its Delta chapter.
This is to ensure total compliance to regulations to avoid frequent crashes involving trucks and other articulated vehicles.
Available statistics from Federal Road Safety Commission indicates that a total of 650 tankers and trailers were involved in crashes in 2018, with over 90 percent of the affected vehicles used for haulage transportation for over 30 years.
Towards ending incessant road crashes caused by trucks and other articulated vehicles, the federal government established the Joint National Transport Safety Committee.
