WAFU B CAF Women's CL: Edo Queens Dominate All Star Eleven

Five players of Nigeria’s Edo Queens made Team of the Tournament at the just concluded WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifying tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.

The players are Emem Essien, Valentino Uroko, tournament most valuable player Suliat Abideen, Vera Samuel and Ijeoma Uzoma.

Edo Queens hammered Beniniose side Ainonvi FC 3-0 in the competition’s final to become the third Nigerian club to win the tournament.

The comprehensive win earned the Nigerian side the sole ticket to the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League.

The host country for the finals of the continent’s elite women club tournament will be appointed during CAF’s General Assembly to be held in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, on 10 October 2024.
