PHOTO Crime/Social Justice CSP Hundeyin appointed new Force Public Relations Officer

Abuja, Nigeria – The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the appointment of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force, effective immediately.

CSP Hundeyin, a seasoned communicator and security expert, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English Language from Lagos State University and a Master’s degree in Legal Criminology & Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan.

Additionally, he has a Certificate in Civil-Military Coordination from the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre in Jaji, Kaduna State.

Hundeyin is also an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a Member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).

Prior to this appointment, CSP Hundeyin served as the Police Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Police Command, where he demonstrated exceptional communication skills and fostered positive engagement with the public.

He previously held the same role at the Zone 2 Command Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos, and served as the Administration Officer at the Force Public Relations Department in Abuja.

In 2020, Hundeyin was part of the Nigerian contingent to the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan (UNAMID), further showcasing his expertise in security and international relations.

IGP Egbetokun has tasked CSP Hundeyin with leveraging his extensive experience in communications and security to enhance the Force Public Relations Department’s activities and strengthen ties with the public.

The Inspector-General expressed confidence in Hundeyin’s ability to uphold the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to transparency and public engagement.

The outgoing FPRO, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Olumuyiwa Adejobi, handed over the role, marking the transition to CSP Hundeyin’s leadership in the department.

The Nigeria Police Force looks forward to CSP Hundeyin’s contributions in fostering trust and collaboration between the Force and the public.
